Yes, it doesn't matter in which position you store the freezer container. The only important thing is that it is a 4-star freezer compartment in which the temperature is at least - 18 °C and that you pre-freeze the freezer container for a sufficiently long time. Then nothing stands in the way of you enjoying your ice cream.
