The MD 1000 multicooker (with an output of 1000 W) has very good temperature transfer and temperature retention. The standard temperature for the ‘searing’ programme is 170 °C and is very suitable for browning food nicely. However, due to the diameter of the base of the pan, it is advisable to work in 2 batches when browning larger quantities of meat (e.g. 1 kg of goulash meat). This makes it easier to effectively extract the roasting flavours from the meat.
