This appliance has a liquid guard that protects the pump from damage. If liquid is sucked in, it is drained into the channel in the appliance. Nevertheless, please take care to avoid this. If liquid is sucked in, the vacuuming process will fail. To be able to vacuum seal again, clean the vacuum film (especially the upper edge that is to be sealed) or the vacuum hose and thoroughly clean the groove in the appliance. Make sure that everything is completely dry before you vacuum seal again.
