You can easily remove all coarse soiling, splashes of fat and any burnt-on food from the hot plate using the enclosed cleaning scraper. Then clean the cold grilling surface with a little washing-up water and rub dry. If food residues are burnt on, soften them by drizzling a little rinsing water onto the glass plate. If stubborn stains remain on the cold surface after cleaning, you can remove them with a suitable cleaning agent for ceramic hobs or glass ceramic cleaner. To do this, rub a few drops of the agent over the entire grilling surface using a paper towel until no more stains are visible. Make sure that all residues of the cleaning agent are completely removed from the grilling surface. Cleaning agents should not come into contact with food.
Tip: Cleaning agents can work better on a warm grill plate (e.g. dissolve grease more quickly). However, make sure that the grill plate is not too hot, i.e. preferably below 100 °C.
