The pomegranate seeds directly from the pomegranate are still surrounded by pulp and are not suitable for processing in an oil press. Fresh pomegranate seeds are used to extract juice and a juicer should be used for this. Oil presses only work with dried seeds, kernels and nuts. For pomegranate seed oil, the oily seeds of the pomegranate are used (they must be completely dried).
