The fact that the rubber seal does not extend all the way to the edge, i.e. there are minor deviations in the length of the rubber seals on the doors of mini ovens, is due to the design and may occur occasionally. However, the resulting minimal gap is irrelevant during operation. An oven (whether large or small) is never 100 % tight (e.g. there is always a slit at the bottom of the door). Many ovens even have ventilation slits for even heat distribution. Only ovens with a steam pressure function must be airtight.
