The base of the water tank reaches a temperature of over 80°C during operation. This should not cause burn marks on an untreated wooden table.
However, to be on the safe side, we recommend using a coaster (e.g. made of cork or rattan). This will protect the table from unsightly espresso stains and small scratches.
