Yes, the mains cable is only required to heat up the storage stone (approx. 8 minutes). The cable can then be removed and the plate can be used on the table or buffet without a cable getting in the way. The keep-warm function remains active for approx. 60 minutes. The appliance can then be heated up again using the cable.
