The appliance is a centrifugal juicer. The fruit/vegetables are grated and spun in a centrifuge so that the juice is extracted. This appliance is therefore ideal for juicing fruit and vegetables that can be grated. Fruit/vegetables that are too soft (e.g. bananas, avocados) are not suitable. For fruit with a lot of seeds (e.g. currants), it may be necessary to clean the juicer several times during use.
