Make sure that you keep the lid pressed down evenly. There are microswitches at the four lower corners of the lid that prevent the appliance from starting if the lid is incorrectly fitted. If you press the lid down unevenly, one of the microswitches may not be activated and the appliance will not start. Another reason may be that the appliance has overheated during operation. It must cool down before it can start again.
