No, the ROMMELSBACHER dehydrators do not require dehydrating film, as the dehydrator trays have no holes or grids and are made of very smooth, seamless plastic. If you are processing strongly coloured food (beetroot, tomatoes, carrots) and want to avoid discolouration of the dehydrator trays, it is advisable to cut baking paper to size. However, this is not absolutely necessary. Discolouration will disappear over time or can be removed with oil.
